I’ve been sitting at home lately and quite enjoying a conference on my favourite topic — crypto.. and it’s just over the border in our neighbours. As a hard user, I was of course delighted, washed my car, charged my wallet and shot myself up for a flamboyant crypto fest and the associated post — covid socializing. I like Moravians and crypto too…
Shock…
You can’t buy a ticket to the conference with crypto !!!
Do you understand???? You can’t buy a ticket to a crypto conference with crypto !!! bitcoin , monero , litecoin…nothing !!! no way…
I don’t understand… we live in the 3 millennium, we are spiking adoption, we are organizing KRYPTO conferences.. and the organizer can’t even sell you a ticket to his own — themed conference…
So I stayed at home … if I had to go to a KRYPTO conference and pay there with fiat, I would be ashamed as a naughty teenager …
But then… the worm of incomprehension was still burrowing in me… so I started to drool…
And I got to the bottom of it… the conference organizer has an outside company do the ticketing or ticket sales. The shocking part of all this is that this specialized company obviously has no idea how to deal with crypto, no idea how to include it as an alternative payment method, no idea how to include it in accounting, no idea how to deal with it.. makes only FIAT and .. pearl in the end… it skims from the organizer from 5 to 30% of the price of the ticket sold… that’s called efficiency 😀
OK… I get it… the organizer doesn’t care about the visitors, he doesn’t care that he overpriced the tickets unnecessarily, as long as the money comes in… but… “thematic conference” … the speakers are full of talk about the crypto, LN layer.. LN layer.. LN layer.. LN layer over Bitcoin…
OK… I get it… it is an insurmountable problem for an organizer to run their own LN NODE…
Okay.. let’s try to say HYDRA 😀
I’m starting to sell tickets to visit my little one… for min 50 cent in SATS.. and don’t show up without a ticket… 😀
